Loeb & Loeb
Role In-house graphic designer for marketing
Industry Law
Loeb & Loeb is a multi-service law firm with locations across the United States and Asia. I worked with the events, business development, and brand and website teams within marketing, as well as provided support to all 450 attorneys. I managed marketing’s relationships with external vendors and maintained brand standards.

SETTING THE STAGE
As the sole designer in a law firm with eight offices, project organization was of course the top priority. But the second equally important key to success was efficiency management. Where could a design system be implemented to streamline logistics? How do we get the most juice out of the squeeze? And where is it appropriate to dedicate extended time and resources?
Women’s Affinity Group
THE PROBLEM Loeb’s Women’s Affinity Group strives to create a more inclusive culture, enrich the work environment, and identify strategies that help the firm recruit, develop, advance and retain talented female attorneys. The graphic team received many requests for invites, ads, and other communications. Finding the right image, or creating the right graphic, and getting approval from all co-chairs was consistently a challenge.
THE SOLUTION I suggested developing a sub identity that could be easily applied across all products and would visually unite the organization. We chose six words that together represented women empowerment and I crafted a text-based branding graphic. I paired that with a logo that could stand alone or sit with the Loeb logo and created a few sample template products.
110th anniversary logo
In celebration of Loeb’s 110th anniversary, the marketing team coordinated a collection of events occurring throughout the year including office parties, community service dates, and a communication series that spotlit veteran partners and staff. I created a logo to brand the graphic pieces.

Partners’ Retreat 2019
Once a year the marketing department at Loeb & Loeb brings the partners from all eight offices together to reflect on the previous year, discover ways to expand our department’s impact firm-wide, and foster cross-disciplinary discussion and collaboration between industries and practices. I worked with the marketing director plus four additional marketing team members to develop the visual identity of the retreat, apply it to all pieces of collateral, and coordinate with the technology and content teams to ensure cohesion across all digital and print touch-points.
Annual LA summer party
Loeb’s headquarter office in LA hosts an annual summer celebration for all LA firm partners and associates. For this retro, bowling-themed event I designed a printed invitation, an rsvp card, envelope graphics, and a standup banner.
Staff appreciation week
Every year Loeb & Loeb hosts a staff appreciation week for all the non-attorneys. Collateral includes an invitation to events throughout the week, corresponding signage around the building, and a gift card. I created a light and playful illustration-based graphic set to use each year.
Invites and cards
Throughout the year I created custom invitations and celebratory cards for different offices and attorneys. This was always an opportunity to be a little more creative, break the strict, serious tone of most law firm communications, and get into the spirit of the event. These were sent out digitally and therefore had no printing restrictions. All paintings and illustrations are my own.

New website poster
In January of 2019, we officially launched a complete redesign of Loeb’s website. This standup banner was placed in the lobbies of the US offices to announce the unveiling to clients, increase excitement, and encourage everyone to go online and take a look without spamming email inboxes.
LUMOscape
I created this infographic for an attorney and her client, TXU Energy. It depicts the six cycles their collected consumer data follows, the internal and external processing points the data is transformed at, and the types of data being transferred and transformed. This infographic was used for discussions between the attorney and her client, as well as internal company presentations.
